After acquiring U.S management, we changed our name from Maudlin's 11 to Nu Hippies. We expanded our range of shows playing clubs from Southwestern Ontario into the Detroit area. We recorded our first album, You On, in Detroit, and won the first Y95 radio contest featuring our single With Out You. We had the privilege of opening for such acts as Glass Tiger, Harem Scarem, Lee Aaron, Frozen Ghost, Nazareth, and Moist.
